Roan, actualmente con La Plata en Buenos Aires, representó al equipo argentino seleccionado para competir en la Copa de 2010 Vodacom, y también ha representado a su país en M-20, cuando formaba parte del equipo en la Junior World Championship en el 2008.

Roan is the 11th senior squad signing made by London Wasps in time for the new season and he joins initially on a six-month contract with a view to a two-year deal. He joins a number of other top-quality signings at the club including England hooker Steve Thompson, ex All Black Ross Fillipo, Welsh fly-half Nicky Robinson and Jonathan Poff from the Canterbury Crusaders.

Roan es el undécimo contrato para el primer equipo realizado por el London Wasps de cara a la nueva temporada y se suma con un primer contrato de seis meses con vistas a un contrato de dos años. Se suma a una serie de otros contratos de alta calidad en el club como el Hooker de Inglaterra Steve Thompson, el ex All Black Ross Fillipo, el Apertura galés Nicky Robinson y Jonathan Poff de los Canterbury Crusaders.

Guillermo Roan said: "It's very exciting to be given the opportunity to come to England and play with such a great club. This is a big challenge for me and I hope I can impress enough in the first half of the season to secure the longer term deal. I know lots of Argentinean players who have gone to Europe at a young age and hugely improved their game and I hope the same can be the case for me. I'm looking forward to getting started."
